The Monroe Historical Society is an all-volunteer organization that was founded in 1976. New members are always welcome. Although there is no requirement of members, the society heartily welcomes volunteers and has a variety of volunteer opportunities, from supplying refreshments at gatherings to assisting with school field trips to hosting at the museum or at the historic Shannahan Cabin during the annual Evergreen State Fair. To Become a Member of the Monroe Historical Society:
To pay online, simply use the “donate” button on this page (right) or the home page and let us know in the memo/comment space that it is for a membership, and don’t forget to include your contact information – mailing address and/or email address, so you will receive newsletters and announcements. To pay by mail simply send a check for the amount of the membership, as below, along with your name and address. Membership dues are tax deductible!
