Evergreen Fairgrounds from the air in the late 1950s
Although 1953 is written on the top of the photo, Tom Worley remembers working on the construction of the auto racing track (the large oval) in 1958 or 1959 for
Dick Norton, the owner of Aurora Towing. The track was cut with a D-9 cat, then asphalt was laid and daylight racing started the following year of early/late
stock cars.
