First Wagner School

The Wagner School District was formed in 1891 and shortly afterwards this school building was constructed on the north side of Wagner Road where it met Woods Creek Road when Hiram Pearsall donated the one-acre site. Originally called the Woods Settlement School and then the Stephensville School, it only became the Wagner School after George Wagner and his partners bought the Stephens Brother Mill in 1906. The l building was replaced in 1904.
