This photo was taken in high water looking north with the bridge over the slough to the right and the Lewis Street Bridge over the Skykomish River in the center distance. The intersection with the Ben Howard Road would be just to the south of the bridge over the slough. The two bridges were connected by a 300-foot trestle. Both bridges were replaced in 1957.
