Nellie Robertson's second historical novel, Wellington Wisdom , is set against the tragedy of the 1910 Wellington railroad disaster near Stevens Pass when more than 96 lives were lost in a massive avalalanche. The novel follows the adventures of Laurie Davis, who boards the eastbound train from Everett in a frantic flight to escape a misconception about her husband. She meets and elderly lady with whom she shares her life story and realizes she has to return but is first trapped by the snow slides of Stevens Pass before experiencing the unbearable anguish of the Wellington Disaster.
